As the membership association of all pig farmers in the province, Manitoba Pork Council delivers a wide range of programs and activities designed to benefit our farmer members and to promote the industry as awhole.

For over 30 years Manitoba Pork. was the provincial association that served hog producers by working closely with industry partners and governments to build a prosperous pork industry.

The Canadian Pork Council provides a national leadership role for hog producers in achieving a dynamic and prosperous pork industry in Canada.

The National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) conducts public policy outreach on behalf of its 44 affiliated state association members - enhancing opportunities for the success of U.S. pork producers and other industry stakeholders by establishing the U.S. pork industry as a consistent and responsible supplier of high quality pork to the domestic and world market.

This full-text report, issued four times yearly, presents data on the U.S. pig crop for 17 major states and the U.S., including inventory number by class, weight group, and value of hogs and pigs, farrowings,farrowing intentions. Also includes the number of operations keeping hogs, the number of hog operations and percent of inventory by size groups.

The Banff Pork Seminar features speakers of international calibre who are recognized authorities in their field. The seminar is designed for participants who are interested in improving their knowledge and decision-making abilities in pork production. Commercial pork producers, researchers, agribusiness service and supply representatives, extension and education specialists, and anyone interested in the latest information in pork production and technology are invited to attend.
